Description
I witnessed this scene on an expedition on Svalbard, and thought the stunning contrasts of the yellow, red, brown and blue colors just needed to be captured. And yes, those skuas were actually there, adding an interesting touch to the image.
This painting was nominated as a finalist at the prestigious Richeson Wildlife Competition
